Someone on the list said that Holden wasn't an atheist, but I always thought of him as one. (Of course, up until my post about Holden's mental stability, I swallowed my English teacher's schizophrenia notion whole. But, of course, he's published a book, so he must be the guardian of all literary knowledge...) Holden never seems to speak of God in any reverent fashion. Any other opinions on this? Cheryl
