It's striking how many funny names are being hurled at me: Fish, Derrida, Anderson, Atkins, Morrow, Johnson, Hartman, Coleridge, Diderot, Barthes, Lewis, Eliot ....... God knows how many others. It's rather as if people were too nervous to walk round the block without the company of a bunch of bigger, uglier thugs. I should perhaps explain that I employ a system of marking different from what some may be used to. Plainly worded personal statements will gain high scores. Too many filtered through a fog of citations will almost inevitably trigger failure. Scottie B.
