i'm curious : does anyone on this list enjoy elizabeth smart or djuna
barnes ? both have produced works i consider extraordinary - "by grand
central station i sat down and wept" and "nightwood", respectively - yet
are strangely absent from most critical studies of this century's
literature. even the recent "top 100" lists by modern library & co. ignored
them altogether. would anyone here have a clue why ?

louis.
