I must say that this surprises me. Sure, there's the initial pain of the
cutting, but then this seems like the least painful alternative-- a very
quiet way of going. A slipping away. Is it because once you've decided to
end it, you want to do it in as violent and final a way as possible?

And the only person that I've ever known with scars on his wrists was male.
So the scars on Seymour's wrists made sense to me. (Though as I think on it
more, he was a rather feminine man, which only supports Scottie's
observations.)
