hello, i am new to this mailing list also. after reading your comparison
with CITR and pleasantville, i felt like replying. i just watched the movie
american beauty this afternoon for the second time, this time after reading A
Perfect Day for Bananafish...has anyone seen the movie? well kevin spacey's
character, lester burnham, reminded me of seymour glass near the end when he
said there was so much beauty in the world, and when you try to take it all
in, your heart can't handle it (or something to that extent), and the idea
came to me--lester was a bananafish! anyway, that's all i have to say. feel
free to reply or elaborate since i am not too good at that. --amanda
