Dorothy Parker wrote some (not very positive) reviews of JDS's work. They
appearred in the New Yorker, I suppose, but can be found in her collected
work. I mean 'not very positive' literally, not eufemisticly speaking.

There's John Wenke's J.D. Salinger: A Study of the Short Fiction.
(Boston:Twanye Publishers,l991). Wenke is not only strong on all
(collected and uncollected stories) of Salinger's short fiction, but
also includes analysis of selected crtical response grouped by
critic. I really like the way his readings and other readings are
presented in this book. Will
