I actually agree with Scottie--though Salinger worshipped Hemingway
as most writers did/do, I don't see many stylistic affinities and
agree with Jim that Salinger and Cheever sound more similar. As for
the point about 6 fish making a literary allusion, not in my class
and unless there's more evidence posted, the point fails on this list
as well (sorry chris).
