hi john,

aren't there newish translations of 'the trial' and
'the castle'? it was these i was thinking of when i
wrote my email. nice to know there's a new 'america'.
 

do you recall the translator for the short stories?
which short stories? the ones He Himself published?
or the complete? or some translator's whim?

okay, you're back with celine. now don't go on to
'death on the installment plan', or, for that matter,
'castle to castle'.
