I have to take issue with what I think is a diagnosis of Holden. I do not
think he has any mental illness at all. His problem stems from the
systematic breakdown of his family following his brother's death. His
parents have fallen apart and can no longer effectively parent at a time
when he is becoming a man and needs parenting perhaps more than ever. I
realize that many teenagers conflict with their parents at this time, but
that does not make them irrelevant. But, instead, he has these walking
zombies incapable of thinking about their other children coherently.
Seymore, on the other hand, needs therapy.

Holden thing you think Kim?
