Hello
I don't send out too many e-mails but this is to say thank you to Tim
for the great advice and the great book Narrative Design. (Sometimes
Text books are good) I borrowed it from a friend and I am enjoying it
very much and maybe you would like to read the story that Will and I
have been discussing and maybe you can help me decide if I am ripping
off Salinger or not.

Also, to the rest of the list I just want to say thanks to everybody for
giving me ideas on what authors I will read next like Richard Ford and
John Gardner and Milan Kundara.

In response to the whole Salinger as a hermit thing I have been
thinking. Would we care so much if he was on Larry King every night. I
mean I know the guy wants his privacy I just think it is sad that
Stephen King publishes about a jillion books a year (the literary
equivalent of a Big Mac and Fries I think he once said in an interview)
while Sal has only a handful. But then again isn't it great that people
are reading and at least telling stories and not just sitting in front
of a TV and watching them. I am not sure where I am going with this I
guess I want someone to at least help me understand the whole thing. I
mean I don't want the guy at book signings at my local Walden Books but
I would at least like to hear what he has to say about his own books if
not other peoples books.

If anyone can understand my post then please help me understand.
Thanks for listening.

Suerte John Paul
