I don't know. I guess I'd have that unenviable role. Let's all just keep
away from the open bar and behave ourselves!
Seriously, I always tell listowners that they set the tone for their lists.
I want to set as lighthanded a tone as possible, seeing that we are all
reasonably mature individuals who have a common interest and who form some
kind of online community, as hokey as that may sound. If people engage in
nasty personal attacks, I would likely ask them to take it offline. But
otherwise I like the invisible hand of the listowner. The LAST thing I
would ever want is to remove a person without that person's prior request
or approval.
