<< so I
went outside with my copy, placed it very carefully on my Weber Grill, and
burned it. I urge every owner of crappy book to do the same; char the
 sucker! let it burn!!! >>

wow, well if that isn't rather extreme... but so amusing. i wish i could have
been there when you sprayed the lighter fluid. i bet the smell of paz must
have been pretty invigorating.
i had the same experience in an honors freshman literature class at the
University of Exeter in England. however my copy was a bit more expensive..
so instead of burning it, i brought it back to the bookstore, three and a
half hours later, after the reading and exchanged it for for Geek Love by
katherine Dunn (much more entertaining). but the burning seems like so much
more fun-- it just scares me. i always think that if i ever hit those
extremes i'll be turning into a little nazi. but i still wish i could have
smelt that shite burn. all two hundred pages of it, in all of it's social
anthropological wannabe schlop.
