i did a bad thing today. i found my catcher cliffs notes. and i read
them. cover to cover. i learned that salinger's nickname at school was
'sonny.' i never knew that before.

my two cents on the 'a book is a book' issue:
i am a public transport rat. trains, buses, mini-buses, whatever, i'm on
one everyday without fail. i have to say that the one book that wins the
award for people posing with the title prominently on display is Irvine
Welsh's Trainspotting. Everyone from colorful alterna-teens to clean cut
young professionals to aging hippies has been showing off. Gibson's
Nueromancer is taking a close second. I'm the annoying chick who reeks
of stale cigarette smokes who always tries to read over your shoulder.

ob-salinger: oh i haven't got anything. rejoice, my off topic waffle
will be disappearing for a few weeks. exams. wish me luck.
