I'm not sure if this message got through the first time. If you got a
message from me about two minutes before this one; don't read this one.
They are alike such that Joe is a strong and standing man... but moreso!
I just finished Catcher in the Rye for the nth time and I wanted to see what
other people thought of Salinger, Catcher in the Rye, and his other works
(which I have yet to read-- recommendations, anyone?)
Also, I want to write a letter to Salinger. Despite the fact that I've
heard that he doesn't answer them, I still want to write it. I tried to
call the post office in Cornish* to see if they would give me an address or
po box or something that he checks, but they didn't answer the phone. I
also called the two dunkin donuts nearest cornish, but none of the employees
admitted to knowing who J. D. Salinger was (I thought they might have an
address). Does anyone have Salinger's address or PO Box (or the address of
a friend that would give a letter to him)? Of course, I'm not planning on
going down to his house with ketchup all over my goddamn stomach in case you
were wondering.
