Wow! I actually went for a small trawl at Ebay myself. Aside from tons of stories in the original magazines and a few 22 Stories (which would if I'm not mistaken be highly illegal)there's some pretty incredible stuff that I never heard of there - for example, Salinger's early story `The Hang of It' published as part of `The Kit Book, for Soldiers, Sailors and Marines' According to the seller: `This is Salingers first appearance in book form, written when he was 23 years old; nine years before CATCHER IN THE RYE.'

Has anyone else heard of this appearance? I don't recall seeing it on the Salinger homepage, I will have to check up. They're asking a $25 minimum bid, Item #271109537, if anyone's interested.

This would have to be the best of them though:

`Magasabbra A Tetot, Acsok/ Seymour:Bemutatas' - Hungarian book!*

RARITY! This book issued in Hungary. It's in Hungarian language. Author: J.D. Salinger. Pages: 209. Issued in 1986. Condition: excellent.

Oh to be able to read Hungarian!!! ;)
