After 6 months of job searching & 5 final interviews, I've
decided to accept the hardest working, lowest paying gig I
was offered. I'm going to be an Asst Professor of Composition
at Southern Connecticut State U because I like the Eng Fac there and want
to live close to the ocean. All of my offers were generous, and my old
gig at the U of southern colorado as a tenured associate prof of CW was
sweet, but I see a lot of writing and learning action among first year
students and want to be part of it--go ahead, tell me I'm nuts, I'll
understand, will
