I actually took your approach and used the index to flag all the
Salinger pages (though I've found at least one that's unindexed, but
the mention is negligible; he's listed along with other prominent
writers nurtured by the magazine).
I hope I won't be running across William Shawn any time soon!
But the primary material, now THAT is something I wish to pursue....
