It's not nearly so chaotic as you're making it out to be.
There's only one set of rights in question, and these
groups are simply asking for inclusion under that set.
Marriage laws, as well as the rules by which corporations
determine whether benefits are to be extended to homosexual partners of
employees are
covered by benefits, would actually be simplified by striking
the requirement of heterosexuality.
