I'm a big PKD fan, but I've never caught parallels between his work
and Salinger's. Do you have any in mind? In Dick's work, there's an
overwhelming amount of anomie and separation from daily life (caused
by society structure, or the environment, or money, or behavior), and
I suppose you can find similar hints of anomie in Salinger
characters, but I've read most of Dick's novels and quite a few short
stories (and even the one biography I know of), but I never thought
of them before as similar.

What did you have in mind? It's an interesting idea to follow.
(Most people would probably lump Vonnegut and Dick in the same
thought, rather than Salinger and Dick, I think.)

This is a good idea to follow up on; I'd be interested in hearing
what other readers think.
