There was a section in the local newspaper a while back roughly called `My Biggest Secret' which contained a lot of famous faces confessing to an audience of mere thousands (as opposed to the millions that guests of Jerry Springer tell their intimate secrets to) their most cringeworthy embarrassment. I was very amused to see one of my own university lecturers in there - a man of extremely high regard, who even had a literature column in said newspaper and who had taught me everything I knew about Henry James. His big secret was that he had never read `War and Peace'. I realised with relief that we are all human. With the exception of Tolstoy, of course ;)
