cecilia,

a wonderful post and the reference to the davega bicycle knocked me for a
loop.

if nothing else, if buddy is to be reviled for this and that--you know,
unreliable narrator, verbose, doesn't get on with the story, hogs the page,
idealizes his eldest brother, some would say creates a big fat lie re
seymour (my blood is beginning to boil)--- well, *i* say to those people,
realize your *own* davega bicycle and incorporate it into your lives. dear
darling fishes, the *davega bicycle* concept ALONE validates what old jd did
for ten years ('55-'65) and i hope to god is continuing to do.

and cecilia, thanks for your thanks re your not so 'silly little story'.
some posts, on occasion, could and should be read as 'parables'.
