How long can subject lines be before Bill Gates wakes up one morning with a
nagging twinge somewhere on the left side of his brain?

There were no twists or turns in my question. I merely asked where Louise
had gone. (I've been away from my single cyber entry to the watery depths
of the bananafishbowl for some time, and frankly hadn't noticed any public
departure...)

...and I'll grant you Nan, Bruce. You two obviously deserved one another....

OSR--...reaching for the box of "Prang Professional Colored (sic) Pencils"
that he bought only this morning for his daughter (whose art teacher
publicly proclaimed Crayola to be crap only yesterday--such synergies!)....
Observation #1: The box contains nothing called "maroon".... Observation #
2: The coloUr of my TCitR is closest to a pencil crayon labeled "Red
Lake"--which is one of the most stupid names for a colour I can imagine.
(Although isn't there a colour called "Lake" in the vaudevillian make-up
box? I seem to remember being taught by an octogenarian thespian that it
was important to put a dot of "lake" at the end of each eye, right beside
the nose--otherwise an actor would appear cross-eyed in the back rows....
Suppose there's any connection here with JDS's apparent fascination with
professional 'theatricals'?

The "mustard", of course, might reflect his less-obvious love of baseball...
(Opening Day Approacheth! Repent ye sinners, and Cheer for the Bluejays!)
...or do you think I'm pushing things a bit too far?

Cheers,

Paul
