Ah. Well, gentle Mattis de Bergerac has explained in a few perfect
words what I would have done by pulling out my copy of THE CATCHER IN
THE RYE and quoting to you the section where Holden says that he prefers
digression, how he likes to hear about someone's uncle more than he
likes speeches that follow the rules.

Bernie, I think that there's a whole lot less vitriol on this list than
has been intimated. Accusations appear to only spawn more, so I'd like
to leave this one in the past, if you don't mind. Suffice it to say
that I was making a (too) clever reference to the novel which gave the
art contest its name. And our resident curmudgeon was unaware that his
(well-meant) contribution would result in the long download time for
poor Suzanne.
