Mike, you wrote that Down at the Dinghy was your favorite JDS story. I
don't know,to me(and I have read it only once and will read it again) it was
probably my least favorite of the nine stories. What exactly did you get
out of it?
On a related note, the Salinger.org site has a section that lists who every
character in most of S's stories really were, mostly being members of the
glass or caulfield family. How do we know this? How are these claims
substantiated? Just a newly baptised Sal lover who is curious.
