Well, since I have made it clear my lack of understanding what
"deconstruction" is, using a word like 'seems' suits this discussion.

Then Yocum says:

"Should John Omlor deign to stoop down and actually, extemporaneously,
describe the ideas behind his irascible d word..."

All indications point towards this not happening. Ever. Nonethless, I am
pleased to see he has a knack for persuasive language, maybe I pick up some
pointers and use them to expunge a clear definition of d from him someday.
For now, he appears to regard me as someone not worthy of the requested
elaboration. Interestingly, my academe-challenged status hasn't prevented
his engagement, though.

Lastly, Gedsudki laments

"I take issue with the stance I have to be knowledgeable of [Derrida] before
I criticize [Derrida]. I read his Greatest Hits many years ago, and that's
all I need right now"

Omlor would like this passage to reflect my lack of progress. How I may be a
line-up-and-shoot-then-ask-questions-later type of reader.
Some of my better posts refute this, while others support it.
At least I take the time, make the effort to pull passages (whenever I am
not pestered by nosey Ober-grunts) from the text to support my views.
Moreover, a painful decent into the bedlam that was my Derrida experiences
produced, I maintain, at least one pertinent question.
I'm irked, to say the least, Omlor has ignored it. Not rhetorical.
Straight-out. Gleaming and waiting to be hit like that new golf ball.

Why can't a poem be closed, a "thing-in-itself"?

An addendum suggested that isn't good enough for Omlor.
For all we know, he's still consulting the ghost of Martin H.

Cordially,

John
