hester, though the book has an intriguing title,
unfortunately the author spends too much text going
on about vedanta, and not enough about the glass
family.

eberhard alsen, in his book, 'salinger's glass stories
as a composite novel' is more accessible. (though i
don't particularly like his interpretation of
seymour.) this book also is hard to find, as it is out
of print and was published in a small run. however,
alsen has just published a new book 'a reader's guide
to j.d. salinger' with a major publisher, which you
might more easily find at a library. he spends a good
deal of the latter half of the book on the glasses
(and vedanta). but his first book really zeroes in on
this subject.
