I agree with most of Aaron Sommers' description of the Glass family (he left out
Boo Boo, who seems well adjusted enough, and I suspect Zooey would have been the
same regardless of what Seymour did), I don't think "everything" Buddy wrote
about Seymour should be discounted. It's just not to be uncritically trusted --
there's too much need on the part of the writer. I don't think the facts and
characterizations are completely wrong, but probably skewed in ways we can't
possibly detect.
