Though I agree with this "fact," I also think such facts are excuses and
that individuals can do whatever they can do...when I went back to shool
for the phd, i knew there were few gigs but i did get one and am now
tenured--admittedly, i know plenty of good folks that are jobless or
underpaid and undervalued in their work, but I thought for myself and
decided that I could be an exception to the rule if I have the right
qualities...btw, i'm not that old...will
