I love writing--which is to say that I sometimes enjoy it and sometimes 
hate it.  It's difficult, I think, to read the works of someone like 
Salinger without feeling the urge to write.  He gives the grand illusion 
that "It's easy--all you have to do is complain."  What danger! but 
also, what a fertile ground for potentially excellent artists.
