Touche..... (Cyberspace MUST invent some sort of system for creating French
accents on an English keyboard)

....and now Sonny sends me once again unto the breech, to see whether
'nescient' is real.... And Mr. Webster assures me that it's real.... In
fact it's all TOO real in these dwindling days of the second millennium....
Nescient..... What a wonderful word! I must try to slip it into the dinner
conversation tonight....

I confess that, in my previous post, I neglected to include the mandatory
OSO. Oops.... Here's two to catch me up:

1. What does anyone know about the (presumably Italian Renaissance?) artist
ANTONELLO da MESSINA who's obliquely recommended in DDSBP? For example, Is
it known that he painted any portraits of Mary Magdelene?

2. Aw, come on, Will!?!?!?!?!?!?! We all know that "Uncle Wiggly" is an
obvious prophetic reference--for instantly visible reasons--to the
'wiggliest' pitcher in the majors: David "Boomer" Wells (who was once
behind the bars of pinstripes; but who now plays for the team that will take
the World Series in six games once again this year--______________________
