Well, I've never been enough of a critical reader to be able to back
this stuff up. But I think that "the blue bird" or, say, "The man with
the beautiful eyes" (Bukowski) are reaching for essentially the same
thing Rilke reaches for but then again, so does about 25% of all poetry.

I was saying it more of a joke; however I do think that both find the
same beauty but in different ways.

Not to mention, "The Inverted Forest" concept Salinger wrote about seems
very much like
a Rilke poem; though I heard it was directly from an Upanishad. Anyone?
