Actually it was Susie, not Sally, and I believe he's put that part of his
life behind him now. Also, I'm an idiot, please help me, I don't know who
Sonny! Glass is. Finally, it was Mr. Ed, not Ned, who played a big part for
Susie early on. I think that he has the head of Ed, stuffed & mounted,
hanging over his fireplace.

Has anyone ever heard of or seen J. D. Salinger refer to himself as "Sally",
perhaps on an inscription of a book that he gave to a friend or relative?
