What interesting synchronicities. There's an O'Keeffe exhibit in
Milwaukee that I visited just last weekend. (It's well worth the trip
... I hear it's going to Philly next.) The O'Keeffe paintings in
conjunction with Memorial Day are what made me think about the poppies
more deeply than I had before.

She had a way of looking into and into a flower that you almost feel as
if you looked hard enough or paid enough attention, you could find the
answer to nearly everything. Tremendous. Just tremendous.

(Sorry. Flight of fancy.) Thank you for sharing your story about the
poppies, will. And next time, buy the painting.
