Not stupid to me because I was wondering that myself. I did a websearch
for variants on "bananafish," and I came up with some Salinger links,
tons of links to a band named Banana Fish, and one Japanese link that
seemed ocean related -- which implied that there is indeed something
called a "bananafish" out there. I couldn't get images to load, though,
and of course couldn't read the Japanese :).
