I haven't read enough: Catcher, Franny and Zooey, Nine Stories and a couple 
of odd stories.  I'll try to get in Raise high the roof beam and Hapworth 
soon. (Doesn't it make me sound like a true afficionado when I shorten the 
names of all of the titles?)

My other favorite is Nabokov.  He's just so good.  I think if you like 
Salinger it's easy to like him...read Lolita if you get a chance.
