I don't want you to get the wrong idea about what I posted. I don't think I made my reference clear. First of all, the class that I took at Duke did not even mention Dylan except for a few brief appearances in various documentaries. I just studied Dylan for a research project that was part of the course. Secondly, the information which I wrote about was not coming from my opinions necessarily - I don't know enough about Dylan to be able to say what he is and what he is not - I just got this information from a magazine article that I had used for research. Finally, I was not the one who made the distinction between or even thought of there being an a so called "Old" and "New" Dylan. So, please don't think that I was the one interpreting Dylan's life. All of what I wrote in the previous post can be attributed to the writer of the article, James L. Wood. I posted it to simply gain another perspective on Dylan. I apologize for any confusion. -Sarah
