I'm glad someone has a sense of humour about this (: The Americans (and
English, Australians, Guatemalans, Canadians, etc etc ...) I've always
loved most are the ones like Bill Bryson and - yes - Matt Groening, who can
genuinely step away from their culture and laugh at the bits that are
laughable, cry for the bits that are tragic, and not attempt to paper over
the cracks in star-spangled gift paper.
