Then, it would seem, it was not your past statement, but your current 
position that was dishonest.  The "lies and distortions" will kill your 
karma.  I strive to keep my positions consistant and honest.  Then, I don't 
have to remember what I said in case I need to backpeddle from it.  I'm not 
trying to be self-righteous, I just find that my life runs so much smoother 
this way.  Also, if I'm honest to a person's face that I don't care to spend 
time with them, I don't need to be catty behind their back.  My life is 
becoming so much easier.
