We forget how strong and warm the habitual web of >small lies and distortions we all build around us is. > Then, it would seem, it was not your past statement, but your current position that was dishonest. The "lies and distortions" will kill your karma. I strive to keep my positions consistant and honest. Then, I don't have to remember what I said in case I need to backpeddle from it. I'm not trying to be self-righteous, I just find that my life runs so much smoother this way. Also, if I'm honest to a person's face that I don't care to spend time with them, I don't need to be catty behind their back. My life is becoming so much easier.
