I love Fawlty Towers, but, just because I laugh doesn't mean it's not 
convoluted, contrived, & just silly.  Also, just because I laugh, doesn't 
mean it's all that highbrow.

Silly but still high art: (in my humble opinion) Monty Python, Wodehouse 
Playhouse, To the Manor Born, etc.
