Well........
Illusions:
granted, a little showy, but the point behind the show was one of the five
books that altered my religious life, and turned me to a path of greater
piece. Not great writing, but a great book nonetheless.
Stranger In A Strange Land:
I respectfully disagree. When he turns off the humor in the last section is
when his punch begins to pack a wallop. This one and Job: A Comedy Of
Errors are Heinlein's great religious masterpieces. His writing in Stranger
is so careful that all of the character names have meanings that add to the
story, as well as the social practices he describes. Much like a lot of
Salinger work, Stranger gets better with a little research.
Namaste,
Thor
