It's right there on the front page of the Education Life section of the
Sunday New York Times.... The cover that Jerry so hated that he started to
drink his own piss.... or am I getting a bit ahead of myself?
I'd never seen it, before Tim showed me a mint-condition copy in New
York.... I'm an old man now (shut up, Scottie!) but I can't say that I
quite understand how THAT cover was supposed to sell this book. The Catcher
in the Rye.....
Is that supposed to be Holden in the visual?
