hello again

hi kids
i've been away from the "list" since 1997 (was athomp1111@aol.com back then
- hi Will, Stephen & jd) ... dialed back in after amazon dropped my
five-year-old-order... been listening in, but am not satisfied with why
amazon or salinger (or perhaps it was seymour) called off its publication/
distribution. my first thought was that the old man died and that that had
thrown a wrench in the system. all these years i have been imagining an
entire warehouse filling up with the book... a bunch of trustworthy
employees - whom none of them smuggled out a single copy - until all orders
could be filled for release (could have been a little fire?). anyway,
what's my point? 1) it's nice to know some of you are still out there
chattin' 2) Will, weren't you in Colorado teaching back in '97? 3) does
anyone want my jd salinger book and magazine collection? - - because i've
had enough of his b.s.! and because it's a perfect day for bananafish!
