Lesley -- I'm glad that our modest community has helped draw you back to
reading Salinger again (as I recently said, it had a galvanizing effect on
me to read one piece straight through in one sitting), but I urge you not
to be nervous about sending anything along.

Contrary to what you may think, your comments are good and valuable, and
are an important part of this group. And you have nothing to feel in awe
about. Your observations have always sounded good to me, and you seem more
than able to hold your own here or anyplace else that discusses JDS's work.

So, indeed, if it's for the Fat Lady, that's as good a motivation as any
other. Please never hesitate to join in. We're happy to hear anything you
have to contribute. (And that goes for other subscribers here who might be
holding themselves back for one reason or another, hint, hint.)

Cheers!
