    When Jim & Camille & the others submit their posts
    to this list, are we to assume they have intentions ?
    Are they trying to convey meanings ?  Or are they happy
    to have me look at their words & make whatever interpretations
    occur to me on the basis of my own private experiences
    & associations ?

    For instance, when I read all these allusions to the transcendental
    & to the value of religion in life I think I can begin to detect
    an underlying conspiracy to entrap my interest by what I take
    to be one of those Bible Belt revivalist sects.

    Don’t tell me if I’m right or wrong.  I’m having a much more enjoyable
    time sitting here with my fantasies undisturbed.  What a wonderfully
    liberating way of approaching any text.
