My name is Melissa and I'm an instructor at Eastern Michigan 
University.  I have been an avid reader of Salinger since 7th grade
when my father threw me a copy of The Catcher in the Rye and asked
me "What the hell was the problem with this book?" - My father was
a Lit. teacher, and my hometown has the privilege of being one of
 those small rural midwestern towns that tries to ban books - The 
Catcher in the Rye in particular.
I am currently looking for any help I can possibly get trying to 
secure rights to do an adaptation for the stage of Franny and Zooey.
I know, forget it - but I will keep trying.  I'm excited to discuss 
Franny and Zooey with ANYONE!  I love a heated discussion!
