'... Where, exactly, do we find this tune mentioned?...'

Aw, come on, Paul. We all realise you're a tiny bit
sensitive about the silvery locks, but don't come the old
    Charlie about being THAT young.

At this very moment my computer is playing
Kiri Ti Kanawa's sumptuous version of 'Smoke Gets
In Your Eyes'. (By, incidentally, that master melodist,
JEROME Kern). Unlike most divas when they take
a break from opera, Kiri really does have a natural
feel for the old swingy favourites. The CD is called
The Kiri Selection - arranged & conducted by
the miniature maestro himself Andre Previn -
    EMI Classics - CDC 7 54530 2.

Break your heart - if you still have one:
'Love walked In', 'Someone to watch over me',
'The Last Time I saw Paris', 'He was beautiful',
'Smoke gets, etc.' - & various others.

    Scottie B.
