Yes, I remember someone bringing up the Swimmer because years ago I had seen
part of it and been struck by it, makes me want to hunt up the Cheever short
story and read.
Oh, and the fellow that posted the message previous to your oldie seemed
quite intelligent and an all around likable sort. : )
