It's been proposed before that Seymour throws the rock at Charlotte in order
to avoid what later happens with Muriel. Reference the following lines in
"Teddy":

   "That's right," Teddy said. "I met a lady, and I sort of stopped
   meditating."

Very important stuff, and perhaps one of the biggest keys in the whole
canon. So he ends the possibility of spiritual interference by throwing the
rock and destroying that which he cannot resist. N'est-ce pas? Is the
situation with Muriel similar? For the Seymour that we meet later, perhaps.
  For this Seymour? I'm not so sure. This Seymour didn't know what he
would become.

I'm missing something here. I don't remember a pregnancy at all, I remember
a twisted ankle and Walt's joke. Ergo Uncle Wiggly. Care to clarify?

Regards,
Cecilia.
