When Daumier-Smith looks in the paper and sees the add for the Yoshoto's art
school it is 1940. Strangely enough when Daumier is at the school it is
1939. Since the dates match to when Salinger was in Canada there may be some
autobiographical info in the story, don't forget JDS is not just the
initials of Jean Daumier-Smith.
