It has been a while since I read TLM, and I donīt remember if I
thought Mary was pregnant or not...
But what you call "left hanging" (and I take it you donīt like
that) is what I love about Salinger... When I first read "Nine
Stories" I was totally in the dark... I had very little idea
what happened - but I loved the storytelling, the milieus, the
happenings, EVEN if I didnīt understand any of it...
I learn SO much about the stories from following the discussions
here, but even if I *never* got to understand a single JDS story
I would still love them...
Just a thought I thought I would share...
